Toyonaka Municipal Hospital

Comprehensive medical information system that contributes to an increase in efficiency of medical treatment.

photo Formerly complicated operations at the hospital have remarkably become more efficient through (1) the ordering system of the outpatient department which consistently performs information management and transport operations, ranging from reception, consultation, examination, medical records, and medicines, to accounting, (2) the clinical examination automation system, which can produce highly accurate examination results in a short time, (3) the up-to-date cooking system that can take well-thought-out measures meeting individual disease conditions of patients, and (4) the large-size transport system which automates the transport of meals from kitchen to each ward.

Furthermore, all the above systems are centrally controlled around the clock by the computer system located in the central supervision room. Thanks to the automation of the various transport processes which used to be a burden on nurses, the nurses are now able to dedicate themselves to their primary nursing services, producing great synergic effects. The human and computer network which spreads into every corner of the hospital constantly keeps a close and warm eye on the patients and their families. Here, we can see a new form of local medical treatment for the 21st century.

A variety of automatic transport systems which connect all the hospital sections

S&S Engineering’s track system “SIMACOM VT-MC”, the large-size wagon transport system “TRANSA” and the other dedicated transport systems play an outstanding role in transporting various materials necessary for medical consultation activities such as medical records, X-ray films, medicines, samples, meals, and sterilized materials. Linked with “Systema Single Picker”, the management of outpatient medical records is fully automated from storage to search, picking, transfer, and transport. These transport systems of S&S Engineering, comprehensively networking the hospital by computer, are the basis of the hospital’s automated physical distribution and its efficient medical treatment management.
